The project also receives support from the Cefn Croes Windfarm Community Trust, Aberystwyth University and the Elan Valley Trust.
With the support from local communities in the Cambrian Mountains we aim to work on the following

- Research to opportunities possible from gaining official status fo this wonderful part of Wales
Dafydd Wyn Morgan
GGG Project Manager
Born in Ceredigion and raised in Carmarthenshire, I spent ten years as a primary school teacher in a 140-pupil rural community school in Ceredigion. I followed this by moving to work in tourism and community development then progressing on to running EU-Funded projects for organisations including Aberystwyth University and Ceredigion County Council. I love the great outdoors and can be found leading walks on various Cambrian Mountains summits on most weekends, including my favourite mountain in the world, Pumlumon Fawr 2468ft. I am a fluent Welsh speaker.
Esther Wakeling
GGG Project Manager/Admin
I am a graduate of Aberystwyth University where I studied for both my Degree and Masters. I grew up in Ceredigion in view of the Cambrian Mountains and now live at the very foot of the western side with my husband and my son. I have worked in the field of Community Development for the past 13 years and love the work and the variety this field offers. Whilst not originally from Wales I have learnt Welsh and have embraced the Cambrian Mountains way of life and I consider myself very lucky to live and work in such an outstandingly beautiful landscape.
The Project
The Cambrian Mountains Initiative is an organization that promotes development in the part of Wales that includes the uplands of Pumlumon, Elenydd, Mallaen and Llanllwni/Brechfa.
A project to increase the profile of the Cambrian Mountains and research the opportunities that receiving official status would offer.
